My guiding career started in New Zealand in 2004 after studying Adventure Tourism course. I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to work as a hiking guide on Milford Track, the most famous hiking trail there. I really enjoyed showing unique nature, stunning scenery and interesting history to all the visitors from around the world. After a few years, my focus changed. I started thinking of using my skill to show my home country, Japan, where rich history, unique culture and delicious food were found. Back to Japan in 2008, I chose Hida region to live, where the famous destinations like Takayama and Shirakawago were located. It was a perfect place for me to show traditional culture and countryside scenery and to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, skiing and biking. I have been working as a local guide ever since 2010. I worked for a local tour operator for over 9 years and conducted over 1,500 tours. I am very experienced and well-qualified. I always look forward to meeting people to share new experience in Japan.
