Hi, I’m MANABU.

I have spent most of my career helping people connect across cultures, both as a Japanese language lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin and, more recently, as an English instructor with ECC Co. Because of my background in organizing study abroad programs, I’ve always been passionate about guiding people through new environments. Now, I am channeling that experience into a new role as an English-speaking tour guide right here in my hometown of Yamaguchi.

Whether it’s sharing local history or introducing the unique spots that most guidebooks miss, I love helping visitors see my hometown through an authentic, local lens.
